THE STORY BEHIND THE INVENTION

Inventor Kent Alan Rybolt, Sr. of Fort Wayne, IN has created a protective guard for use on crossbows, by which the fingers and thumb of a crossbow user can be kept from the path of the bowstring in order to prevent accidents.

Many people enjoy the hobby of crossbow hunting or crossbow target shooting. While the crossbow is a relatively safe weapon that has been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years, its use can still cause personal injury. Unfortunately, accidental amputation, or severing of fingers and/or the thumb during the firing process, is quite possibly the most common type of injury associated with the crossbow. It occurs when the thumb or fingers extend above the top of the foregrip, and the rapidly released bowstring contacts them during arrow release. Inventor Rybolt has created a means by which the fingers and thumb of a crossbow user can be kept from the path of the bowstring.

This clever new invention does not affect the performance of a crossbow. It prevents injury and loss of fingers and/or thumb. A dual inverted cup design keeps fingers away from the crossbow string. Multiple sizes and styles are available to fit all crossbows. It is especially great for those new to the sport. The use of the Crossbow Thumb and Finger Guard ensures that users of crossbows are protected from accidental injury during the crossbow shooting process, in a manner which is not only quick, easy, and effective, but nearly foolproof.
